市川　雅典氏
　川崎市出身。３歳よりピアノを始め、18歳よりコントラバスを学ぶ。
1994年 桐朋学園大学音楽学部卒業。
在学中、桐朋学園オーケストラとク−セツヴィツキーの協奏曲を共演。カナダ・ヴィクトリア国際音楽祭に参加。
1995年 同大学研究科在籍中に ＮＨＫ交響楽団に入団。
コントラバスを西田直文、小野崎充、佐々木等、溝入敬三の各氏に師事。カナダにて ゲ−リー・カー氏に師事。
これまでに、カナダ・ヴィクトリア・サマーミュージックフェスティバル、宮崎国際音楽祭、東京国際音楽祭、霧島国際音楽祭などに出演、室内楽奏者としても国内外で幅広く活動している。また、2004年より埼玉、上越、北九州、徳山にてソロリサイタルを開催し、ソリストとしても高い評価を得ている。
現在、NHK交響楽団団員。桐朋学園大学音楽学部非常勤講師を務める。

Masanori Ichikawa was born in Kawasaki into a music-oriented family. He studied piano from age 3, music composition from age 15 and contrabass from age 18. He graduated from the Toho Gakuen School of Music in 1994. While at Toho Gakuen he performed with the Toho Gakuen Orchestra in the Evian Music Festival in France. In addition he was chosen to perform as a soloist for Koussevitzkyﾕs concerto with the Toho Gakuen Orchestra. He also attended the Victoria International Festival in Canada.
In 1995 Mr. Ichikawa joined NHK Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo. He has performed at the Miyazaki International Music Festival, the Tokyo International Music Festival, Kirishima International Music Festival and the Victoria Summer Music Festival in Canada.
His contrabass teachers have included Gary Karr, Naofumi Nishida, Mitsuru Onozaki, Hitoshi Sasaki, and Keizo Mizoiri. His piano teachers were Mayumi Ariga, Mitsuaki Nouchi and he studied the Beata Ziegler method with Chiyono Takahashi.
Currently a member of NHK Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo, he regularly performs solo and chamber music. In addition to his performance work, Mr. Ichikawa is a lecturer at the Toho Gakuen School of Music.
